RhymeKitWhat we collect
RhymeKit collects the minimum information needed to run the service. When you sign in with a magic link, we store your email address. If you use the tools while signed in, your generation requests and the lyrics they produce are stored in task records tied to your account.
For anonymous visitors we never store raw IP addresses. A salted hash of the IP is kept temporarily to enforce rate limits. We also set a session cookie and a language-preference cookie, and record anonymous analytics events (tool used, result status) that contain no lyric content.
How we use it
We use this data to generate and deliver lyrics, enforce daily usage limits, keep accounts working, and understand aggregate product usage. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your lyrics to train models.
Third-party processors
A small set of processors handle data on our instructions under their own privacy terms:
- DeepSeek — the lyrics engine. Your prompts and generation input are sent to DeepSeek to produce output.
- Our email provider — used only to deliver sign-in links.
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics.
- Sentry — error reporting. Error reports do not include your lyric content.
Data retention
Anonymous requests are not written to the database. For signed-in users, task records and generated lyrics are kept until you request deletion. Accounting and payment records are retained for as long as applicable law requires.
Your rights
You can request access to, or deletion of, the data tied to your account by emailing [CONTACT_EMAIL]. We verify each request and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Children
RhymeKit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States (analytics, email, error reporting) and China (lyrics generation). By using RhymeKit you consent to these transfers.
